It's been a while since I last posted so here's a bit of what we've been up to:
THE BAD: The worst part of the last 3 weeks is that we've all been a bit sick. Kyla picked up a cold right after Christmas and was sick for about a week. Just as she seemed to be better, Jake got sick and was miserable for about a week (the picture showed how he liked to sleep so he could breathe and not cough all night). Just as he was getting better, I got sick. Finally, we seem to be all better other than Mike who seems to have a bit of a cold that comes and goes (hopefully he keeps it to himself).
The rest of the post is all GOOD stuff.
Jake and Kyla decided to "help" me make brownies and their favorite part was helping clean off everything, or at least transferring the mess onto themselves. Kyla loves to help cook and loves to be able to pour and open and help stir as much as I will let her. She is a good help and a great taste tester!

Kyla was so excited to leave out a plate of cookies with a candy cane and milk for Santa and a bowl for "food" for the reindeer (oatmeal mixed with glitter). We had a great Christmas and the kids loved their presents. We spoiled ourselves this year with a WII and a laptop and have been very pleased with our purchases. Kyla loves playing the WII, especially bowling, and does a great job. She is great at picking up spares and has bowled in the 170's a couple of times. (Must have gotten the bowling bug from Grandma Aullman)

I am amazed to think that Jake will be 2 in just under a month. Wow! I really don't know where the time has went. He is growing so fast and is such a joy! He is so good natured and loves to give hugs. He is starting to talk a bit more and is pretty persistent when he wants something and will grab our hands and pull as to show us what he wants. He is the best at letting us know when it is bedtime by grabbing his blankie and sippy cup and heading to the stairs. I'm not sure how he got in the habit but I love not having to fight bedtime. We will see what happens when he eventually has to move out of the crib and into a bed.
Finally, all is looking good with the baby. It is really active and I feel it moving daily and sometimes I think it must be flipping in there. I think it had hiccups today the way my stomach was moving. We are super excited to find out on the 28th what we are having. Kyla is still insistent that it is a girl and that her name is Ashlee. We are going to let her come to the doctor's when we find out so she can see the baby on the screen. She loves to rub my stomach and has taken to saying hi to the baby.

That last picture of Kyla looks just like you. They are getting so big. I swear it you just had your last baby. Who apparently is not a baby anymore.
